Experience going back in time to Ancient Egypt with a day trip by bus from Hurghada to Luxor and soak up the energy that the temple ruins of the Egyptian pharaohs exude in all their splendor! You will travel to Luxor (ancient Thebes) early in the morning for 4 hours, and of course, to make the journey as pleasant as possible, you will not need air conditioning! You will be able to capture a memorable landscape of the Nile in Upper Egypt but also the enchanting views of the typical Egyptian towns and villages that will come your way. Once in Luxor, an Egyptologist guide will accompany you on an unforgettable walk to the miraculous ruins, and explain their ancient significance. You will also make a small stop at the Colossi of Memnon, the gigantic statues of the pharaoh Amenhotep III that have stood unmoved for more than 3,400 years. You will continue your journey to the Valley of the Kings to learn as much as possible about the burial customs of the ancient Egyptians from the pharaonic period. You will be able to explore the tombs of the rulers where you will find well-preserved paintings and hieroglyphs. Then, you will go to the specially built temple for Queen Hatshepsut, one of the most fascinating characters of Ancient Egypt. Your guide will reveal more about this female pharaoh and the temple built for her as you admire the outer gallery, terraces of columns, statues and reliefs. After what you've seen so far, enjoy a delicious lunch in a local restaurant before hitting the road again to explore the Temple of Karnak, one of the most spectacular temples in the ancient world. You will be able to freely admire the centuries-old hieroglyphs and paintings, as well as numerous churches and temples while hearing from your guide the legend of the sacred scarab. At the end of the day, return to Hurghada again passing through the Nile Valley of Upper Egypt to extend a little more the moment of ecstasy that the landscape offers.
